Limining

Stack to Pot Ratios

The SPR of a hand is the ratio between the effective stack and the size of the pot on the flop. This is an essential aspect of poker strategy, as it can give you some key insights into how strong a hand needs to be in order to profitably get all-in.

A pair of kings isn’t too bad off the deal but if you’re in a big hand it can be a risky move. A pair of tens isn’t great either, but it can be a very profitable hand to play if you have a lot of chips and are in the right position.

Getting Your Hands Right Before the Flop

After the initial deal, betting is done in clockwise order. When the first player to act makes a bet, everyone else in turn must place an equal amount of money into the pot.

Betting continues until every player has called or folded. The winner is the player who holds the best hand at the end of the round.
